How do you read the National Ratings?
Below you will see a sample of how the ratings appear online. The first column is your PKC Identification number. R1, R2, R3, R4, and R5 tell you which region the competitor has joined. The last column tells you when the PKC Membership expires. The column titled "dup" tells you how many different divisions (in this event-kata) you are duplicated in. For example: Michael Fleming below is listed in 2 different kata divisions. You will notice that Michael has 92 total points in this Executive division, but 102 combined total points. Therefore we can safely assume that Michael has 10 points in the other kata division where his name has been duplicated 92+ 10 = 102 Members compete and place in more than one division due to changes in age and rank throughout the season. At the end of the point season (July) Michael will receive his combined total in the division where he accumulates the most points. If the season were over today, he would receive his 102 points here in Executive Black Belt Kata (he would be deleted from the other Black Mens kata division), and he would finish 5th in this division. Awards are presented to the top ten winners in each division at the PKC International Tournament and Banquet held in the Fall each year.(in the case of a tie, duplicate awards are presented ) Executive Black Belt Men Kata 43yrs+
